This set combines a physical toy and digital, to discover the world of molecules in an intuitive and practical way. Using the 50 models of atoms included representing 16 different elements (or with the introductory kit, 17 atoms representing 6 elements), you can assemble your own molecular models The atoms easily connect with magnets: metal tips located at the ends of the rubbery arms represent the free electrons that can connect to the free binding magnetic sites on the atoms, representing a free space for electrons on the atom’s outermost electron shell.
With the full Happy Atoms set, you can create thousands (hundreds with the introductory set) of different molecules. As the atoms already have the correct number of free electrons and empty binding sites, it is difficult to build a molecule that does not actually exist. Your digital camera brings this construction system of molecules to the next level. Using the Happy Atoms app and the camera of your smart device, you can scan the molecules you are building. The application then uses the latest in image recognition technology to identify molecules. Once a molecule is discovered, the application presents information about it, including its composition, its uses, properties, the dangers that it can represent, its formula and structure. The application can recognize up to 10,000 molecules. It presents in-depth information about 150 molecules rest (49 for the introductory set) as well as general information about more. The application is an interactive educational program in chemistry, which takes you into a guided exploration and discovery path of new molecules while allowing to track your progress, your collection of molecules you built.
